Buckner Best Family Friendly City in Kentucky

April 27, 2009

2113-golf-viewAOL.com’s Real Estate page this morning is declaring that Buckner Ky is Kentucky’s Most Family Friendly City in Kentucky. Which isn’t a surprise for anyone who lives in the area. Buckner, which is home to the County’s Aquatic Center, YMCA and the youth soccer complex has helped quietly grow this community. Buckner is located near the heart of Oldham County, and conveniently located near I-71 for easy access to Downtown Louisville Kentucky. Commuting residents can be downtown in less then a half hour, while still raising their families in one of the premiere school systems in the state. Thinking of making a move? Search through Buckner Ky Real Estate and find your new dream home.

Neighboring communities of LaGrange and Crestwood also help to bring a sense of community to the county. Crestwood was named the 52nd best place to live in 2005 by CNN’s Money Magazine. LaGrange is one of the few cities left that has a train track that runs right down Main Street! Up to 30 trains a day make the journey through the County Seat of LaGrange, KY.

Make your move to a higher quality of life in Oldham County!

Can you dodge a wrench?

March 13, 2009

At 7pm on February 7, 2009, thirty two teams convened at the Basketball Academy in east Louisville. One by one, in three minute matches, they were eliminated. Here are some clips from that night that I’ve been meaning to get posted for everyone to see. I really think that this event is going to grow into something really neat for the community. From everything I saw while attending the event, (I got there late and left early) it looked like a home run for everyone involved.

Congrats to www.lousiville.com and Havana Beverages

Louisville, really is this cool.

9 Reasons why you should be buying now.

March 3, 2009

1. Falling Mortgage Rates
Mortgage rates are already at their lowest level in 50 years!

2. Home Prices are Down
We know that no one can accurately predict house prices. What we DO know for SURE is right now, prices – relative to affordability – are the best they’ve been in DECADES. Is this your once-in-a-generation (or lifetime?) opportunity?

3. Housing Selection is Plentiful
The number of homes on the market continues to escalate. When paired with the exceptionally low interest rates of today, the motivation to buy increases. It’s a buyer’s market… take advantage of it while you can.

4. Current First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit
Homes purchased after January 1, 2009 and before December 1, 2009 are eligible for a tax credit up to $8,000.

5. Tax Deductions with Home Ownership
Homeowners have the potential to deduct mortgage interest, interest on home equity financing, property taxes and more.

6. More Buying Power

With housing prices and interest rates hitting historical lows, you have the potential to buy property that might have been out of your range in years past.

7. Possibility to Buy in a Better Location
When the number of homes on the market continues to increase there are more AFFORDABLE, quality homes on the market – in desirable locations and all price ranges.

8. Federal Reserve Action Plan
Simply Put — the Central Bank is pouring money into the system.

I know many of you that live in Greater Louisville frequently vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida.  I just wanted to let you know that there are special Panama City Beach real estate agents that I love working with, should you ever decide to buy a second home.

If you’ve visited the area, I’m sure you know that there are vast amounts of beach front condos for sale in Panama City Beach. There are beautiful high-rise condos with numerous amenities including lagoon-style pools, world-class gyms, arcades, and beach front bars and grills. Heck, you’ll even find some with dive-in movie theatres!

Over the past couple of years, Panama City Beach has really grown up. If you haven’t been recently, you wouldn’t even recognize it. There have been numerous improvements to the city including new roads with beautiful landscaping, and my personal favorite, the Pier Park outdoor living center. If you get to visit, Pier Park is the place to be, if you ask me.

What’s exciting about Panama City Beach is the new Bay County International Airport which is currently under construction. It’s the last international airport to be built in almost 20 years. I know you may be thinking, “Great. But, who cares?” Well, what’s so wonderful about this new airport is that it’s the first “green airport.” Yes, it’s going to be carbon-neutral!

If you’re lucky enough to buy Panama City real estate, please let them know that I referred you. They’ll give you the all-star treatment! Oh, and don’t forget to invite me down for some piña coladas.
